It began with one sauna by the water.

Secret Sauna did not begin as a standalone experiment. It is backed by Pixxla — a project that has been creating self-service saunas in exceptional natural locations since 2020.

The first Pixxla was created by converting a shipping container into a waterside sauna in Bratislava. One sauna gradually became a network across several countries, visited by thousands of sauna lovers.

Pixxla aims to bring together the best parts of sauna culture: Finnish-style wood-fired heat, complete privacy, surrounding nature and the chance to cool down directly in natural water.
